Five medium-sized companies and two research institutes from Chemnitz and the south-west Saxony region form the core of the printronics growth sector. Under the motto “printed electronics everywhere”, the partners involved are pursuing the goal of fully exploiting the innovative production of electronic components by mass printing on a commercial basis.
This futuristic technology allows new dimensions for products: classical printing products, upgraded with electronic features and also powerful network solutions from silicon-based electronics or new kinds of electronic printed products. The growth core pools the innovative expertise in the south-west Saxony region in a cluster. This is giving birth to an international centre of expertise and production for mass-printed polymer electronics.
